I was born and raised in Bayamón, with strong family roots in Camuy on my mother’s side. These roots shaped my values, my sense of community, and the way I care for my patients. I completed my medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and later continued my training in the United States to expand my clinical experience.
I completed my Internal Medicine residency at VCU Health in Richmond, Virginia, followed by Gastroenterology fellowship training at the Zucker School of Medicine within the Northwell Health System at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New York, where I served as Chief Fellow.
After completing my training, I returned to Puerto Rico to care for my community. I believe in treating every patient like family—listening carefully, explaining things clearly, and working together to create a care plan that fits each person’s needs. My goal is to provide compassionate, high-quality care while building trust and long-lasting relationships with my patients.
